2008 Sinop’en The Most Local Tourism Guide
Sinopale 2nd International Sinop Biennial
2008
Atıl kunst has participated in 2nd International Sinop Biennial. The subject of Biennial was “new order of things”. Atıl kunst’s work is named as Sinop ‘en’ (‘en’meaning the most) ‘the most local tourism guide’. This guide is prepared by experiencing local agenda in Sinop. Some ‘the most’s are determined by inverting touristic eye.
The works are produce for ‘the most local tourism guide’. The guide had been hung near the works that are displayed in different locations.
I-”The most manufactory” is created by transforming convict transport vehicle which is displayed for tourists in old Sinop prison’s garden.
We covered this rusted vehicle with 800 meter stretch film. This vehicle is no longer used for transport so that its content is totally changed and it became an object. Wraping it we made a huge package for tourists and visitors.
During Biennial period we positioned the (no more) vehicle as an expression ground for everbody to write and stick their manufactured “the most”s.
We also installed a video, on our approach to “the most” concept, iinside this so called vehicle.
II-The deepest, three works that are manufactured with beadwork produced in Sinop prison since old times is in a room inside the house of correction for infants. In these works the expressions are are made in behalf of old prison. Don’t look at me like that. What do you find in me. What can I do for you.
Just alongside there is sound installation.
III-The most motif, is installed inside Pervane medresseh where local woven textiles of Sinop are produced and sold. It is produce by variations of close up photos of sun lotion smeared on skin.
IV-The most delicate can be seen in display window of a pastry shop in Sinop. The photo of the most fair ice cream weighing apparatus used in shop is printed on a cake. It can be eaten during Biennial period.
V-The oldest dream is placed in the garden of Sinop Archaeology Museum. In Sinop’s history democracy occupies very important place. Sinop democracy is mentioned on a tablet of alliance aggrement held inside the museum. Famous red Sinop soil is taken from the edge of Sinop castle, sift and out inside a fish tank.
VI-The most dining table is installed inside local diner nearby the courthouse. On table cloth, that is claimed to be stain free, eating act is performed and the stains remained from performance are sewed.
VII-The most unpredictable is placed in marina in dockyard district near the seaside.
All of these works are produce for ‘the most local tourism guide’. The guide is hung near the works that are displayed inside those places.
Sinop'en' En Yerel Turizim Rehberi
Atıl kunst 2. Uluslarası Sinop Bienali’ne katılmıştır. Bienalin konusu “şeylerin yeni düzeni”dir. Faaliyetin adı Sinop‘en’ ‘en yerel turizm rehberi’dir. Bu rehber Sinop’da yerel gündemi yaşayarak hazırlanmıştır. Turistik bakış tersine çevrilmeye çalışılarak bazı ‘en’ler saptanmıştır.
En fabrikası; eski Sinop cezaevinin bahçesinde turistlere sergilenen mahkum taşıma aracının dönüştürülmesi ile oluşturulmuştur. 800 metre streç filmle aracın tümü kaplanmıştır. Turistik bakış nesnesi paketlenirken, nesne başka bir bakış açısından yeniden ele alınmıştır. Aracın dışı bienal süresince herkesin kendi ‘en’ini üretip yapıştırılabildiği bir ifade alanına dönüştürülmüştür. İçine Atıl kunst’un ‘en’ kavramına yaklaşımını gösteren video yerleştirilmiştir.
En derin Sinop’da eskiden beri cezaevinde üretilen boncuk işinden ürettirilmiş üç eser çocuk ıslahevinin bir odasında yeralmaktadır. Bu işler de konuşan cezaevinin kendisidir. Bana öyle bakma, Ben de ne buluyorsun, Senin için ne yapabilirim demektedir.
Hemen yan tarafta ses enstalasyonu vardır.
En motif, Sinop’un yerel dokumalarının üretilip satıldığı Pervane Medresesi’ne yerleştirilmiştir. Tene sıkılan güneş yağının yakın çekim fotoğraflarının çeşitlemeleri ile oluşturulmuştur.
En hassas Sinop’da bir pastanenin vitrininde görülebilir. Pastanede kullanılan en adaletli dondurma tartısının fotoğrafı yine aynı pastanede bir pastanın üzerinde yeralmaktadır. Bienal süresince yenilebilir.
En eski hayal Sinop Arkeoloji müzesinin bahçesine yerleştirilmiştir. Sinop tarihinde demokrasi önemli bir yer tutar. Müzenin içinde bulunan eski bir anlaşma metninin yazılı olduğu tablette Sinop demokrasisinden bahsedilmektedir. Sinop kalesinin dibinden çıkarılan kırmızısıyla ünlü Sinop toprağı elenmiş bir cam fanusun içine konulmuştur.
En sofra Adliye Sarayı’nın yakınındaki bir esnaf lokantasına yerleştirilmiş. Leke tutmadığı iddia edilen bir sofra örtüsü üzerinde aynı lokantada bir yemek yeme icrası gerçekleştirilmiş ve daha sonra oluşan lekelerin etrafı dikilmiştir.
En belirsiz tersane bölgesinde sahile yerleştirilmiştir.
Bütün bu işler ‘en yerel turizm rehberi’ için üretilmiştir. Rehber Sinop’da hazırlanmış eserlerin bulunduğu mekanlara asılmıştır.
